We had a steam ride and overnight stay, room was clean and comfortable, ensuite with everything we needed. We met friends elsewhere for dinner so didn't have evening meal here, however breakfast was very good. Full english, toast and jams, coffee orvtea with fruit juice. Can't fault it, would stay again.

The helpful and friendly staff at the Queen's Head Inn Nassington made our overnight stay a most enjoyable experience, that we would happily repeat in the future. The accommodation was roomy, the surrounding grounds provided us the opportunity to take a pleasant evening stroll and the lunch, evening meal, and breakfast went down a treat.

The poplars is quite quirky but amazing. They have made a big effort to be eco friendly, friendly service too and an amazing breakfast. You do all sit together for breakfast but we enjoyed that. Very close to the centre of Lincoln and just 5 minutes walk to the castle and cathedral. The drive is narrow and very steep. I was a bit intimidated by it!!

I've reviewed The,Royal Lodge on Trustpilot so I won't repeat it all here but I need to comment on the Activity Superstore. A voucher was purchased by family members but I found that several premises would not honour it as they only did the deal from October to March. This is not explained in advance and I feel it should be. The family members who bought the voucher did not know that the full range of accommodation would be on offer. Having said that, the accommodation i chose was very nice and very good value.

The bathroom “pod” was awful. Good job we only stayed for 2 night but the service from staff and management was superb.
