Choose between silver, blue and pink coloured designs and add a personal message of your choice to create the perfect gift for someone celebrating their 21st Birthday. These Terramundi money pots are still hand thrown to the same designs that were used over 2000 years ago before being painted in the studio in London.

Each pot is handmade and painted in a cream colour with the number 21 written on the front of the pot and your personalised message written on the reverse. Your personal message can be up to 3 lines long with a maximum of 10 characters on each line.

Once they’ve managed to save up enough coins to fill the money pot they’ll have around 200 pounds in mixed silver which can only be taken out of the pot by removing the top whilst making a wish.

Removing the top carefully will allow you to reuse your Terramundi money pot again possible as a candle holder or even a plant pot. As these pots are hand crafted they may vary slightly in size between 17cm and 19cm.

These gorgeously crafted money pots make the perfect gift idea for someone celebrating their 21st birthday and are sure to be a cherished keepsake item.

Notes
Terramundi Story

Terramundi was established by Dario Illari and Jacquie Ryle over 14 years ago in the upper floor of a flat in Kentish Town, the Studio is now somewhat larger and is located in Tottenham Hale, London.

History

Our money pots have been traditionally used in Italy for over 2000 years and their hand thrown design has remained unchanged. The British Museum houses examples of these ancient money pots.
Tradition

Once the first coin is dropped the money pot must be fed until full upon which time it must be smashed whilst making a wish. It is customary to replace the pot and spend the money on 'good things', they bring good fortune.

Money pots are sometimes used to house a candle or a plant once smashed. The best way to break your money pot is to get a chisel or the back of a hammer and place it inside the money slot - slowly lever the top and you should be able to pop the top off - you can now use the money pots to house a plant, sweets or pens.

Terramundi money pots are hand thrown in Italy and hand painted in London. They stand between 17cms and 19cms in height.

Each money pot contains a separate fortune coin. Money pots hold approximately £200 in mixed silver.
