We had a lovely trip on the Nene Valley Railway, a Christmas gift from family. Staff were lovely - friendly & helpful and knowledgable about the area. We travelled through lovely countryside to Peterborough, had an amble round the town & visited the cathedral, then our return trip. A most enjoyable day out.

It was a little bit of a struggle on the day for us personally due to the heat. But That aside, it was an enjoyable day. It was a little hard to get to , but when we got to the first station which was wrong, a staff member guided us to where we needed to be. A little disappointed that there were no refreshments on the train and there wasn't that much to see on the journey, but it was still a good day and liked the shop and charity shop

The poplars is quite quirky but amazing. They have made a big effort to be eco friendly, friendly service too and an amazing breakfast. You do all sit together for breakfast but we enjoyed that. Very close to the centre of Lincoln and just 5 minutes walk to the castle and cathedral. The drive is narrow and very steep. I was a bit intimidated by it!!

I've reviewed The,Royal Lodge on Trustpilot so I won't repeat it all here but I need to comment on the Activity Superstore. A voucher was purchased by family members but I found that several premises would not honour it as they only did the deal from October to March. This is not explained in advance and I feel it should be. The family members who bought the voucher did not know that the full range of accommodation would be on offer. Having said that, the accommodation i chose was very nice and very good value.
