Experience Day Review Step back into the bygone era of rail travel as soon as you set foot in the ticket office at The Nene Valley Railway. A hop-on-hop-off ticket allows you to explore areas such as the Ferry Meadows Country Park. All the staff are volunteers and obviously love what they do and are therefore very friendly and informative. If you choose to take the afternoon tea on the same day, a fifteen-minute walk from Peterborough station takes you to The Bull Hotel, a 17th Century, Grade II listed building. The tea is a good stop off on your train journey, but I wouldn’t choose it for a special occasion. The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable and is highly recommended for a day out.”

    Lovely plentiful sandwiches, homemade scones thick real cream and proper cake and as much tea as you want One draw back was the jam It was in those single plastic pots Would prefer proper jam from a jar Accommodated one non meat eater happily There were three of us.

    Had a wonderful afternoon tea at Savvy Fox near Wrexham. Staff were polite friendly and very helpful. Lovely setting, food selection was great we even had some leftover for the dogs! Happy to recommend we will be returning

    The Empress Hotel was beautiful, perfect setting for an afternoon tea. We had a wonderful view of the promenade and sea front. The afternoon tea itself was extremely good and would definitely recommend.

    It was an amazing afternoon tea experience at Katie's tearoom. Lovely historical setting in Chester, the staff couldn't do enought for us and the food was fab. Even took some home. My husband said they were the best scones he's ever tasted even better than his mums.😉
