Zoe Axworthy is a Brighton based vegan food developer and Vegan baker specializing in gluten-free goods and treats. She started Viva Los Vegan eight years ago and it's been her creative outlet to explore her passion for delicious sweet and savoury vegan recipes from all around the world. She works with Brighton based independent businesses such as Hisbe, Smorls, Kernel of Hove, Kindly and more.
Via Los Vegans ethos is 100% vegan, they pride themselves on trying to use the most sustainable product possible sustainability and strive towards making delicious foods by using high quality ingredients.
With this experience you will take part in a seasonal vegan cookery lesson (via Zoom) with an emphasis on the seasonality of the ingredients, their origin and history of the recipe. Zoe will also be happy to offer variations on the recipe and advice on a vegan/plant based lifestyle.
A sample menu may include - Plant based tacos with all the fixings: homemade cheese sauce, pickled vegetables, mock meat, guacamole and salsa followed by Mexican chocolate pots.
The workshop is suitable for beginners and the participants needs will be assessed beforehand with recipes emailed in advance. If some of the ingredients are more specialist these will be sent to you beforehand. During the lesson step by step coaching with knife skills/ cookery techniques and guidance will be offered as needed.
