Meet the Meerkats for Two

There is something uniquely appealing about meerkats which has seen them become an international favourite all over the world. With their inquisitive natures, their complex social networks and their decidedly individual personalities, the chance to get close to these amazing creatures is one that any couple of animal-lovers will be thrilled by.

For most people, just seeing a group of meerkats, known as a ‘mob’, ‘gang’ or ‘clan’, is enjoyable enough, but this experience is a chance for the lucky pair to actually let some of these cute critters climb on them and even hand-feed them which is sure to make this an experience that they will never forget.

On arrival, the meerkat enclosure is the first port of call for your meerkat encounter where the meerkats’ keepers will provide some insight into what to expect from these fascinating animals, answer any questions about the meerkats themselves and be on hand during the encounter. They will provide food for the meerkats and provide insider information on which are the most sociable compared to those who are more shy and retiring. Anyone who loves animals will adore this meerkat experience for two.

• The experience will last 20 to 60 minutes, depending on location.
• This experience is for 2 people, there may be other people on the day.
• At some locations you are welcome to bring spectators, although there may be an additional charge, please check on booking.
• Minimum age varies depending on chosen location.
• Under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult. 
• Some locations may have porcupines in the enclosure also.
