We took the grandkids to Dudley zoo for the day and although it rained it didn’t spoil our day out. The kids loved it. The only issue we had was because they are almost teenagers there wasn’t mush at the fair for them. The animals were amazing.

Had a fantastic day out as the last treat of the summer holidays. Every animal we went to see was easily visible in their space and most were up close and personal. We got to see some excellent shows/talks on a variety of animals (these run during the summer holidays) which my 4 year old loved. Feeding time for the sea lions was also a favourite as was the giraffe enclosure. There is face painting for children at the very reasonable cost of £4, with added extras of a tail or ears purchasable for £3.50/£4. And the gift shop offers a good selection of toys with a decent range of prices. Quite a number of toys/items priced between £5-£7. My only issue cost wise was that the on site restaurant, the Queen Mary, was quite pricey, with a simple sandwich costing £5.50 (which was the very cheapest main filler on the menu) all hot food was more. The kids had a great little lunchbox which comes presented in a happy meal type box with fun animal facts/activities on the box. This had a brioche bun with either cheese or ham, animal shaped crisps, a fruit shoot and a muffin (my little one couldn’t finish it all but enjoyed what he ate). But please note: the zoo doesn’t stop you from taking your own sandwiches in so you could be better organised than me and take your own sandwiches! A special mention for the free land train! Runs every 20 minutes and takes you right from the entrance to the top of the hill by the castle entrance! Great for saving little toddler (and tired mommy) legs! And you can get on it as often as you want. There are limited pushchair/wheelchair routes so at some points you do have to double on yourself to get to see all the animals, and the land train comes in very handy for those moments. The staff were incredibly helpful and out the pushchairs on and off the carriage for us. Also the map they provide you with has the accessible routes clearly marked. Overall a fantastic day. Definitely recommend for families with young children.

Great little Zoo but avoid using Activity Superstore. Go direct. I booked the Zoo as a last minute replacement as my original activity had a 4month wait and the voucher would expire. Activity superstore were absolutely useless. I booked the zoo as I couldn't stomach spending another penny with Activity Superstore to extend.

Although we had our day out at Dudley zoo it wasn't my first choice of experience from the voucher and I had an absolute nightmare to try and organise it. This was only made worse when we realised that my voucher was £40 and entry for two adults was only £36. Also the zoo is very dated and in need of a lot of refurbishments to make it more of a pleasant experience. A lot of the enclosures were infact empty. This was a Christmas present from my children and we are all very disappointed with your company and service.

This experience was given to us by friends as a gift. making arrangements to book was very easy, as was collection the short induction which includes map, hats, gel seat pads and a general overview of the area. Not as easy as it looks but with practice and team work a great day.

Had a great day out at Dudley Zoo with the family. A great variety of animals that all appeared well cared for. The hilltop location and castle ruins are superb. Yes, it's not as moderns as other zoo;s such as Chester, but it's not going to be...most of the buildings are Victorian architecture and are protected from modification. Enjoy the zoo for what it is and you will have a great day.
