The owner of Canoe UK Ltd went out of his way to ensure that my husband and I had the best possible experience canoeing down the River Severn. There'd been a landslip on the railway line, so he re-organised our itinerary so we'd still get a ride on the steam train as well as canoeing. Disappointingly they substituted a diesel train on the day, but he met us at the station with the canoes, even though it was the wrong side of the river and he had to wade back! He met us again at our lunch stop, looking after our belongings while we ate, then greeted us cheerily through the rain at the end. Being his only customers that day, we enjoyed a personal service which was much appreciated. The canoeing was easy, tranquil and relaxing, with the chance to observe wildlife and riverbank sights on the way. A thoroughly enjoyable experience we would highly recommend.

We had a very good time at the Shawsgate Vineyard. We were welcomed with a good coffee, so we could wait for all the participants to arrive. The owner explained how they grow their vines, which methods they use and why. This was very interesting, as this is the first time I learned about these methods, despite this wasn't my first, or second visit to a vineyard, We then walked around and saw the examples of that, plus anything else that had an impact on the produce. We have seen the place where wines are made and stored. The wine tasting was great. We had many to try. We finished with a healthy lunch made of local products, purchased wines for home and left. I recommend this vineyard!

We had a very enjoyable tour, our guide was very informative and funny. We sampled half a dozen wines. Lunch was very nice too.

A great experience from start to finish. The team were very helpful in terms of booking and communicating about the experience itself, kit required, what to expect etc. Very friendly on arrival. We were lucky with the weather, dry, warm and not too sunny. We were given details to help us navigate the river, really simple and easy to follow. The paddle down river was incredibly beautiful, peaceful (apart from a few grouchy fishermen - most were friendly though) and there was plenty of wildlife to spot including Kingfishers! We chose not to stop for a picnic but continued on and had lunch at the pub in the cute little village at the end. Our experience included the steam train back to the Bridgnorth. All in all a super day and would definitely recommend it.

Lovely hotel, previously an old coaching inn, situated in the tiny village of Wykeham in North Yorkshire. The room we were originally allocated was not acceptable at all, being absolutely tiny and window onto main road, so noisy. Staff happy to reallocate us to a lovely, much larger room with double glazing which was perfect and so clean.Plenty of hot water for baths. Ate in restaurant, not particularly impressed by where we were sat ie in middle of room when unoccupied tables by window. Also the old brown wood tables were sticky with no mats or tablecloths. However food was beautiful, as was breakfast. Would definately recommend but choose your room carefully and ask for tables to be wiped down! Interesting wander round the little village, old railway line and station, ice house and church with separate bell tower all worth investigating!

Hotel was lovely. However didn't serve evening meals. Tuna and cucumber sandwich at lunch had no butter on bread and a scraping of tuna filling. Awfully poor.

Beautiful place to visit . Hotel room brilliant. Service from Zara was second to none, nothing too much trouble. Had such a good time we have booked our room for October 2023 for the week . Highly recommend.

Me and my partner absolutely loved this activity, so much so his on about buying his own canoe. we had a great day from start to finish, and highly recommend to anyone interested to take the plunge, you won't be disappointed.
