The National Botanic Garden of Wales is a charity dedicated to the research and conservation of biodiversity, to sustainability, lifelong learning and the enjoyment of the visitor. Take a tranquil, lakeside stroll, marvel at the amazing Mediterranean plant collection in the Great Glasshouse, enjoy the newly restored Regency landscape or explore the fields and meadows of the Waun Las Nature Reserve.
Get out in nature with the whole family! Choose from pond dipping, bug hunting, campfire or den building workshops, each lasting up to 2 hours each. Make memories in a truly enchanting setting. Once you've completed your workshop you can all sit and enjoy a picnic lunch, either set up in the grounds of the Garden or in the Great Glasshouse, depending on the weather.
Your picnic will include a selection of sandwiches, savoury bites, crisps, vegetable sticks and dip, a selection of fruit and cheese and bottle of water. All dietary requirements catered for. If you're still keen to explore more once you've finished your picnic you are welcome to. Your experience also includes a hamper of bespoke National Botanic Garden of Wales gifts for you to share.
