Our visit to the Tower Bridge was great, very interesting and lovely to see from a different perspective. However, our experience of the meal at The Shakedown afterwards was very disappointing. We located the restaurant earlier in the day, and returned just before our table was booked at 6pm only to find it shut, with a message at the door saying to go to the 'Courtroom Bar'. I waved my paper voucher at the two staff members sitting in the restaurant and they pointed for us to go around the corner, which we did, but we could not locate any Courtroom Bar. We returned to the Restaurant and again made hand signals and waved our voucher to say that we had a voucher for a meal and could not locate any Courtroom Bar, when a lady member of staff again pointed to around the corner from where we were standing. Around the corner was a Hotel called The Dixon, so I went inside and said I was looking for the Courtroom Bar only to be told it was within the Hotel!! We were shown to our table, and given a menu. However, the menu was very basic, with three choices for starter, main or dessert, one was a salad, one fish and chips and the other a chicken dish - it certainly was not deluxe dining. However, the win was good (though nearly as expensive as the meal voucher!!) and the service from the staff within the Hotel was excellent. We did have a lovely day, but were very disappointed at the meal and would not return to The Shakedown for the set meal - whether or not the Courtroom Bar offers better food if you are not limited to The Shakedown's set menu may be a different matter. We were not aware that we would be limited to a set menu when the voucher was purchased alongside The Tower Bridge voucher.

Enjoyed Tower Bridge The provisioners did not feel welcomed not even offered the drinks menu. Very limited menu no starters we liked Saying that our dinner was lovely. Only 2 desserts didn't fancy either but tried 1. Felt like they did not like vouchers

I paid for the experience of a glass floor above the Thames and a bit of history of the place all we got was seated for lunch the menu was nothing like it stated on experience we hardly ate anything because it was not anything we liked it stated on experience there was pizza and pasta and fish and chips but we got a set menu with none of the above on it food was not nice .it was a birthday present for my friend and to say it was disappointing is an understatement I felt so embarrassed I paid a lot of money and the experience was awful and I had to spend more to take her for a meal straight after as we was really hungry will never order from activity store again I will stick with virgin
