Paw-sitively Perfect Dog-Friendly Afternoon Tea

There’s nothing quite as charming as a traditional British afternoon tea – steaming pots of fragrant brews, delicate finger sandwiches, fluffy scones piled high with cream and jam, and a parade of irresistible cakes and pastries. It’s the ultimate excuse to slow down, indulge, and savour life’s sweetest moments.

But here’s the best part – with our Dog-Friendly Afternoon Tea experiences, your pup doesn’t have to miss out on the fun! No more sad puppy eyes at the door – bring your four-legged bestie along and enjoy this quintessentially British treat together.

Whether you’re marking a special occasion, catching up with a friend, or just looking to spoil yourself on a lazy afternoon, these carefully selected venues roll out the red carpet for both humans and hounds. You’ll be treated to beautifully presented tiers of teatime classics, while your pup can enjoy dog-safe biscuits, tasty “puppuccinos,” or even their very own mini afternoon tea platter.

So, sit back, relax, and sip your tea while your pooch laps up the love. Because afternoon tea isn’t just about the cakes and cups – it’s about sharing joyful moments. And let’s be honest, everything tastes better with your dog by your side!

Afternoon tea served in the bar which was a dog friendly area of the pub!

What did you get up to? We visited The Dog and Partridge, Ashbourne, Derbyshire for Afternoon tea for Two. We had been exploring the area with our dog and was delighted to be able to have our afternoon tea served in the bar which was a dog friendly area of the pub. The Dog and Partridge Inn is located just set back from the main road, easy to find while traveling from the Peak District National Park. What did you enjoy the most? Our favourite part of the experience was the home-made cakes and scones. After a morning of walking the freshly prepared afternoon tea, served in a cozy pub was a delicious treat for all three of us!

Top Tip

1. Bring a camera! 2. Enjoy the garden, weather permitting 3. Skip your pack lunch and go for Afternoon Tea

Lovely friendly and warm welcome. Food was lovely and we presume homemade. We had to sit in the bar as we had our dog with us but that suited us better as our dog prefers carpet and real fires in the bar area. Would recommend the Dog and Partridge.
