What did your experience entail? We were given an Afternoon Tea menu where we could choose one sandwich filling described as “chunky” finger sandwiches in white or wholemeal brown from 8 choices which included meat and non meat varieties. A choice of scone, cheese or fruit, and a choice of cake from 7 different varieties. Beverages included English breakfast tea, fruit or mint teas, or a cafetiere of coffee (refills included) with the option to upgrade to include prosecco. As we had the Deluxe voucher we were also given a small bottle of prosecco each with a glass. After choosing our options we were presented with a three-tier plate stand each of which stood in the middle of the table with our food displayed. We had separate plates and cutlery to use for each course. What did you enjoy the most? The food all looked and tasted great and as we had chosen differing items we could try each others from the central tiers giving a bit more variety to the meal.

Top Tip

1. Make sure not to eat too much beforehand – there is plenty of food! We were full after the sandwiches and the scones and the staff kindly wrapped up our cakes in foil and placed them in a small white paper bag so we could bring home to eat later. 2. Booking in advance is advised as they do fill quickly inside 7 tables only, On a nicer day the garden looks lovely and gives another 7 tables outside. 3. A very nice location to come too with family and / or friends for a special occasion or just for tea and cake as all the products are lovely.

    Nothing was too much trouble, not that we caused any, Doggy friendly inside and out. Too much to eat on the day, so boxes were provided for the 'excess'. Quality superb and staff exemplary.

    My Granddaughter and I really enjoyed afternoon tea at Revolution Bar, Albert Dock Liverpool. Food was delicious, waitress service excellent. We loved the atmosphere.

    Camelia Hotel is my go-to place for afternoon tea- they dont scrimp on the portions, we always go home with a box because we cant finish it all! The atmosphere inside is relaxing, I'd say it has a smart casual dress code, the staff are so friendly and accommodating, I cant praise them enough. There is free parking at the back, you enter from the seafront side. Oh, and the view of the Thames is just beautiful on a nice day!
