This really was a fabulous B&B - a delightful old cottage on the edge of a beautiful village, run by a very friendly and welcoming host who provided a wonderful breakfast.

This was our first visit to Harwich and we were pleasantly surprised. Loved the history and thoroughly enjoyed walks and visits, eating out etc. Hotel was very friendly and food was good. Accommodation a little tired but new people working hard to make us welcome. Lovely crisp white sheets. Towels refreshed on our second day. Tea, coffee, bottled water etc in room. Our room was large, with sofa, TV very comfortable. Location great. Beer garden.

Stayed at ivy house in Dolgelluau Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 the short break was supposed to be an overnight stay and steam train experience, the issue was that after we made the booking at the B&B there wasn’t a train experience in easy reach that was operational at the time, so we just paid for an extra night at the B&B and explored the area, the Ivy house B&B is popular with walkers and bike riders and I found the rooms comfortable although a bit tired but the breakfast was absolutely excellent, I could see parking being a problem although I was lucky I found a spot nearby. I suggest that these activity breaks are ok if the the overnight stays and the activity could be booked together because I found it difficult to find the train experience near the B&B which was actually operational

Could not fault this accommodation. Our room was lovely with a huge comfortable bed and a good size bathroom (with bath & shower). The food at the bar was super we ate there both nights. The portions were so generous that we were unable to have breakfast in the morning as still full. It also had a nice courtyard where we had a drink and lunch when we arrived and had a glass of wine after dinner. We didn’t take a car but enjoyed walking and discovering Dovercourt and we also took the bus to Clacton. Plenty of accessible places by public transport.

I have always wanted to learn or to at least sample the experience of fly fishing since being pulled in to Gone Fishing with Whitehouse and Mortimer, and this was the perfect gift from my wife for Christmas 25. Peter, the instructor, an gentleman of wiser years made the whole experience amazing for me, his patience and attention to educating you in the finer aspects of the art of fly fishing was second to none. He even got my poor wife who had to endure the 4 hour experience (probably reading her book the majority of the time) to join in a pretend to be a fish on the end of the line, that was funny!!! I would genuinely recommend this to anyone wanting a taster of how to and how not to do it. Well worth the money and in such a beautiful setting. BTW I am the stocky guy in the blue hat lol!!!

Lovely little hotel, everything we needed. Good spacious bathroom, we had a bath with jets however, we didn't use it. The beds were comfy. The guy that checked us in gave loads of recommendations for what to do in Liverpool. He was very friendly every time we saw him and very helpful. Could do with more toilet roll adding to the bathroom.
