The experience begins with a relaxed pre-flight briefing led by a CAA-qualified instructor, who will explain how an aeroplane flies, what each control does and exactly what to expect once you’re up in the air. Then it’s time to climb into the cockpit, buckle up and enjoy the unforgettable moment of actually flying the plane yourself, with expert guidance throughout.

One observer may also share the experience, subject to the flying school’s discretion, making it an ideal gift to enjoy together. As the aircraft soars above the landscape, the student gains a genuine insight into what it’s really like to be a pilot - equal parts exhilarating and empowering.
