Polly Farrell studied art and art history at college but remained an amateur artist while focusing on a successful career in management. In 2017, she started 'Farrell's Art and Craft Emporium' selling prints and gifts at craft fairs in Sussex and then in June 2019 she opened Steephill Studio and Gallery at her home in Saltdean, near Brighton.
Her signature style is colourful art deco inspired paintings with a faux stained-glass background. Saltdean is the perfect environment for this, with it's beautiful 1930's art deco Lido and Grand Ocean Hotel. Polly is also a keen sketcher and produces graphite and coloured pencil work, usually portraits that capture a good likeness of the subject.
She offers classes in basic drawing skills, portrait drawing, coloured pencil work and glass & ceramic painting.
