New parents cannot get enough products from the practical baby gift category. No matter how well equipped the nursery, nor how well decorated, there will always, but always, be something on the most-wanted list. So just ask!
Baby grows are given that nomenclature for a reason. It is a known fact that babies grow like mushrooms after a monsoon. Because the world and his wife will have bought all things ‘newborn’ in readiness of the birth.
There is no law against buying for newborns, of course. In fact, purchasing something that small is fun! But if you are a little strapped for cash, buy now, and give now, but for later. The parents of your giftee will thank you for it, when baby suddenly has nothing to wear.
One new parent once said: “You can never have too many vests (sick). So, worry not if your baby gift is a seemingly boring pack of pure cotton white vests. Rest assured, they will come in handy.
Of course, oranges are not the only fruit, and baby clothes are not the only baby gift option. Though little sailor suits and adorable dresses do have their value. Enough already!
Baby gifts span the imagination. Toys, naturally, must be rendered baby-friendly by safety standard guidelines; and rightly so. Consequently, soft toys designed for babies under 36 months tend not to have removable parts. It is a scientific fact that babies will remove anything that can be removed. Do believe, those little hands will put mum and dad in the shade.
Babies love soft toys. They give them comfort, and are perfect for cuddling up to at night. Newborns tend not to have anything in their cot, though, as there is a risk of suffocation.
Once a baby can see a mobile, he or she will be delighted with its brightly coloured fancy shapes, moving overhead.
Once babies are old enough, a wind up soft toy which delivers a lullaby will work wonders when it comes to getting them off to sleep.
Thoughtful baby gifts like these are all worth their weight in gold, as they all serve a purpose.
When baby’s christening day arrives, the choice of baby gifts widens becomes a yawning chasm. Silver money boxes, tiny cutlery sets and baby sized tankards all make excellent presents.
