Available to buy on DVD and VHS from September 26th 2005, This beautiful picture tells the powerful tale of an unbreakable bond of friendship between a cheetah named Duma and a courageous young boy named Xan.

Based on a true story first told in the book 'How It Was With Dooms' by Carol Cawthra Hopcraft, join fearless Xan who befriends an orphaned cheetah cub found whilst out walking with his father. They name him Duma and the cub becomes Xan's best friend and an unlikely addition to the family.

Duma grows into a big cat and Xan's father tells his son that it's time to return Duma to his real home before he grows too old to survive in his native habitat. Just as Xan reluctantly agrees his father dies and Xan and his mother have to move to the big city.

It's a major upheaval for Duma whose unruly behaviour prompts Xan to recall his father's wish to return him to the wild. Together they set off on a journey over scorching salt plains, through the Okavango Delta and into the Erongo Mountains. Meeting many interesting characters and facing many dangers along the way, Xan must let go and lead his friend into the life in which he was born.
