Here's your chance to drive the Porsche 911. Sleek lines, incredible acceleration and handling together with the unforgettable sound of the wailing, rear mounted flat-six engine delivers awesome power in a truly unique manner. The Porsche is the eternal supercar, nothing looks or drives like it.

On arrival you will receive a welcome, introduction and short briefing. You will then take to the wheel of the Porsche 911 for 4-6 laps of driving depending on location. You will end the day with a de-briefing session in which you receive a presentation certificate as a memento of your day. The programme varies depending upon location; please check upon booking.

The person driving the car will be required to sign a disclaimer accepting liability in the event of damage to the vehicle. The driver will be given an option to purchase damage waiver cover when booking to minimise their financial exposure should there be an accident. Drivers are under no obligation to purchase this optional waiver. Full details are available at the time of booking.

Please note, there will be a supplement fee if you choose to visit a premium venue.

About this experience
  • Availability: This experience takes place on selected dates, from March to November.
  • Duration: You will spend approximately 1 to 2 hours at the venue, depending on the venue.
  • Group Size: All driving tuition will be on a one to one basis with the instructor.
  • Minimum Age: The minimum age for this experience is 17 years old.
  • Fitness: The maximum height is 1.93m (6ft 4in) and the minimum height is 1.52 (5ft). The maximum weight is 101kg (16 stone). This may not be suitable for those who suffer from epilepsy or any physical disability. If in doubt please consult your doctor.
  • Spectator Information: You are welcome to bring spectators along to watch.
  • Qualifications: You may be asked to sign a disclaimer on the day. You must have a full manual UK or European driving licence.

    I received my porsche thrill drive as a gift and was excited by this. On the day of my track day I drove an older car than I thought. I can't praise my instructor enough he was brilliant and a very nice guy. The only thing that disappointed me was the track I appreciate it's an old airfield, but this can't be good for the cars, very uneven track with pot holes.

    Not that I minded but I was told it would be a Porsche Turbo, it wasn't it was a Carrera 4S. That's actually my dream car not a turbo so if that bothers you. Also it kinda broke on my first lap a PADM failure. So they kindly stuck me in a Ferrari F430 which was great fun. I still preferred the Porsche. Thanks

    This was a Christmas present , Great fun. Driving a performance car on a race track is more fun than watching it . I did not know until i got out of the car , that , the instructor scored you out of 40 , he gave me 36 . , this made the day more special.

    The whole experience was poor from start to finish. I was not allowed to drive the car fast at all. Had to slow down and free wheel around corners. The engine management light was on in the car. The window did not close. My hot lap lasted less than a full lap My trial run was in the back of a car and a waste of money and my Hot lap was in a Vauxhall when I was led to believe it was in the Porsche. I would not recommend

In terms of the speed of your drive, there are certain limits in place to ensure the safety of every driver and instructor at all times, no matter their driving ability or ease when driving at high speeds.The speed limits at every track have been put into place to not only make the most out of the cars and track, but to also ensure maximum safety at all times, so please rest assured that various perimeters are there for a reason. I am sorry to hear your were not happy with a hot lap in a Vauxhall model. While the majority of your experience was intended to take place within a Porsche, the added extra of a hot lap often occurs in a different model car with an instructor demonstrating the car's performance. Thank you again for your feedback and I apologise that you were unsatisfied with your experience, I will certainly refer to your comments when we evaluate the Loughborough location and the Porsche Thrill experience.
