The Handbag Bar is handbag heaven for those who appreciate unique handbags and are searching for their perfect bag! You’ll have the opportunity to design your own stylish, custom made handbag, selecting from a variety of shapes, fabrics, silk linings and decorative pendants. The experience will take place in a 4* hotel, where you will be surrounded by inspiration in the form of handbags in all shapes, sizes and colours!

What happens on the day
Budding handbag designers will be greeted on arrival with a glass of wine or a soft drink, whilst being introduced to the concept and the company behind this experience. While you chat with the other participants and with the friendly staff, you’ll be given handy handbag-designing tips for selecting the best size and shape. You’ll then play the handbag story game, where you’re challenged to match the stories of selected handbags to their mottos, before getting to the main part of your experience!
Next you’ll have the chance to browse and experiment with various designs and materials as you choose your favourite fabric, silk lining and decorative pendants to design your own ideal handbag. At the end of your experience you’ll collect your goody bags, which will offer a great reminder of the activity while you await the delivery of your handbag. Handbags will be made and delivered within 6-8 weeks, and will be despatched by Special Delivery. Please note that you will need to pay £10 for the handbag to be delivered, unless you wish to collect it yourself from the shop in which case no extra cost will be incurred.
Please note that the handbags are made from silk brocade (a heavy, patterned silk) as standard. Additional fabrics such as cashmere/suede etc are available but will incur an extra cost.

- Unfortunately this is not a spectator experience.
- This experience takes place approximately once a month on selected Saturdays.
- There is disabled access to the workshops, but if you have any disability or illness that may prevent you from taking part in the experience you must discuss this with the centre before booking.
