A rare opportunity to join a professional keeper who cares for the big cats at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation breeding centre. The centre is not open to the general public so this is a truly unique chance to help the keeper in his daily tasks and learn more about these awesome creatures. The highlight of the experience is to feed some of the cats and be only millimetres away from some of the most efficient killing machines on the planet.

What happens on the day
Your session will start with a safety briefing, very important when you are about to work with the worlds top predators, followed by a short presentation on the work of Wildlife Heritage Foundation both in the UK and overseas. Then, its off for a 2.5-hour session caring for the big cats. Please remember that you will be observing living animals in their own environment and therefore may be in view of different carcasss from various animals around feeding time. You will also be handling raw meat so a strong stomach and passion for the cats is a must!
Need to know
- Minimum age 18
- You should be in reasonable health as you will be outside and required to do some physical activity although this can be tailored to most levels of mobility
- Not all areas are fully accessible for the disabled and the areas are mainly grass.
