On the full day experience, you'll be taught the points of sail, rules of the waves and the gybe. A great introduction to the fun of sailing.

What happens on the day
When you arrive you will be issued with safety clothing and buoyancy aids etc. There will be a safety briefing and an outline of the course, before heading off in the sailing craft for a demonstration by the instructor and then hands-on sailing. For the full day (Explorer) course, you will generally be given lunch (check before booking) and the afternoon will encompass more practice of the skills you have tried in the morning.
Need to know
- Minimum age 12, although this varies between centres.
- You should be a confident swimmer, in reasonable health and agile enough to climb around the vessel. You may be required to complete a health declaration
- Maximum weight 18 stones (114kgs)
