aid, strap on the protective helmet and grip your paddle very tightly -
you're going for a wet and wild whitewater rafting adventure! After a
briefing and technique familiarisation session, you take the plunge
down river. Great fun!

As Discovery but for two people
What happens on the day
Prompt arrival is essential – if you miss the whitewater rafting
safety briefing you will not be able to raft. When you arrive, you will
normally be asked to sign an indemnity form which will also require
parental/guardian signature for under 18’s. As part of a small group
you will be given an initial group briefing, and then issued with the
necessary safety equipment and buoyancy aid. Instruction in the raft,
including paddling technique and commands. Then a run down the rapids.
Need to know

- Under 18’s need parental/guardian consent
- You should be in reasonable health and a confident swimmer. You must be agile enough to climb into the raft
- Maximum weight 18 stone (114kgs)
- Some
seasonal closures. Early booking is required for rafting, particularly
for weekends and during the height of the summer season
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to venue
